Murder! Mystery!

Last week the Lantern Queen hosted its first Murder Mystery Cruise.
Act 1 Productions presented "Chameleon" to a sold out crowd.
I'm not sure we've ever laughed so hard!
Great food, good company, and crazy entertainment!
Look for more Murder Mystery Cruises in the near future.

Hulks!

I'm not sure why, but I love these old wrecks.
The top one is a tug named the Taurus, and the bottom is a dredge from Jim's Dredging Co.

House Calls!

Occasionally the Lantern Queen makes house calls!
When the conditions are right, the Lantern Queen sails around the Cecil County side of Garrett Island.
When we do, a loud whistle brings Patricia to her deck. You see, Patricia is deckhand Krazy George's wife.
And the whistling and waving seem to be contagious - all of the Perryville folks honk boat horns and wave as
the Lantern Queen sails by.

Jr. Capt. Duties

What are the duties of a Junior Captain aboard the Lantern Queen?
Well, of course they help greet passengers. And they occasionally drive the boat and oversee the docking procedures.
But most importantly, our Junior Captain is in charge of fun!
Here's Captain Katherine working hard at blowing bubbles to add to the festive atmosphere.

Our Crew!

We're really proud of the Lantern Queen crew... uh, I mean family! I challenge anyone to find me a better group of people!
Seriously, our crew makes the Lantern Queen a fun experience for everyone...including the other crew members!
Here are some of our folks!

ROCKFISH!

On April 9th, while the Lantern Queen was tied up in Port Deposit waiting on passengers to arrive, these fellows fishing nearby pulled out a 41 pound rockfish. It was so big that their little point-and-shoot camera couldn't capture the whole fish in one frame! Since it was during the catch and release season, the fish was quickly released after a few photos to prove the fellows' "fish story."

St. Patrick's Day Cruise

Wonderfully authentic music by O'Hara's Cup got the toes tapping and the little lasses dancing.
